Another Little Break...

Sorry I haven't logged on recently, I'm starting a new class and the schedule is a little hectic. I'll try to post a full blog this week giving you updates on Mom and everyone else.

Until then,

ME

I'm glad to see you back here. I really enjoy reading your blog. I'm in college also, so I completely understand how demanding it is. Good luck with your class!

Cancer is not an easy journey. It's very hard for the one with it and for those close to the person. We found out November 16th 2007 that my mom had stage 3 bladder cancer. I was with her through it all. I was even the one who told her, the doctor thought he found a "legion" or "tumor". I went to every single doctor's appointment. She never went without me. Some days, my dad was able to go, other times, we had someone drive us. We even spent 6 weeks in a hotel while she underwent chemotherapy and radiation. I wheeled her across the road to get to the radiation oncology department. I took care of my mom, with whatever she need. More water, food, support. She was my best friend. She went home to Jesus on August 21st, of this year from stage 4 bladder cancer. I miss her so much, but I rejoice that she is now free. She deserved it. She is painfree, burden free, cancer free. She's with Jesus. She now has the ultimate peace. God healed her, by taking her home. I'll love and miss her forever. Life will never be the same without her.

Cancer is not easy. I'm sorry you are going through this. May God continue to richly bless you, even more than he already has. I'm praying for you Sherri, and your family. God has a plan, even when we don't understand it. He Loves You.

Your sister in Jesus Christ,
Melissa

Madison...Just watched the Gather's Bluegrass DVD. I am so sorry to hear about your Mother. With Gods grace and blessings she will make a speedy recovery. I remember going to see your parents in Mt. Airy, NC during the Autumn Leaves Festival. I would stay and listen as long as they would sing. They are GREAT!! Hang in there and God will take care.
